Convictional Beliefs
As a protestant reformed theological group, we hold firmly Scripture as the inerrant Word of God. Scripture stands as our only rule of faith and practice and as our ultimate authority. However, we also hold that the historical creeds are useful means of succinctly articulating what we believe in so far as they align with Scripture. We uphold the early ecumenical creeds proclaimed by the church throughout the centuries, namely the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed.
In addition, as a reformed theological group, we uphold the truths which emerged during the time of the Reformation. These include the 5 Solas: Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone), Sola Fide (Grace Alone), Sola Gratia (Grace Alone), Solus Christus (Christ Alone), and Soli Deo Gloria (to the Glory of God Alone). We also uphold a broad spectrum of Reformed Statements of Faith with charity on points of difference between doctrines of secondary and tertiary significance. These include: The Westminster Confession of Faith, the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith, the Heidelberg Catechism, the Philadelphia Confession of Faith, and the Canons of Dort.
